3 more cards....

Here is the card we made last night using the rolled marble technique
For this card I used a base of Riding Hood Red and more mustard and very vanilla. The stamp sets are Petite Pairs and Autumn Days. We have stamped using old olive and more mustard. The accessories used are regals brads and riding hood red taffetta ribbon. Card 2 can be used as a fathers day card or birthday card or in our case a retirement card.
We have used a stamp set from the summer mini called the Open Sea. (helen I hope you liked this one and it gives you some inspiration for the set. and our last card of the night.
This card uses Concord Crush, pear Piazza and another new stamp set called Apothecary Art and our new framelits dies and the big shot. Our next class will be on THURSDAY 7th JUNE 2012 please contact me for details if you would like to join us.

Monday Class for May

I am waving Hannah off at 11am as she is off on her residential trip with school today and then I have a class this evening. My Monday class is delayed this month due to bank holiday getting in the way earlier on this month! We are learning the rolled Marble technique tonight and making 4 cards. Here is a sneak peek at one of tonights cards.
I love the simplicity of this card. The colours are very vanilla and pool party and I have added the new attic boutique dsp from the summer mini. The greeting comes from happiest Birthday Wishes which is a hostess set. The small flowers are punched from the itty bitty set and a samll pearl is added in the centre of each. I have used the spritzer tool and the pool party maker pen over the whole image.

Thursday's class projects for May

It's mid afternoon on Sunday and I am catching up on my to do list before having another cup of coffee! Paul has taken Hannah out for the day to watch the racing so I have shopped, washed and ironed, done a bit of gardening, reading and now some Satmpin'UP! Last Thursday's projects were a gift box and card. Everybody made the same but each table had a different colour way. The designer papers are from the lovely collection called Nursery Nest and the stamp set is Avairy. Here is the pink table
and the card in more detail
At some point during the evening the card had a fight with the perfect plum inkpad!!!! :) and now in blue...

The Alternative Project

Another early start and I am off to have breakfast with Jane Cutting and kery Timms this morning so I thought I would get my post in before I go. Back at the beginning of the year I decorated a journal using products from sale-a-bration. You can see the journal here http://caroonstampin.blogspot.co.uk/search?updated-min=2011-12-31T16:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2012-02-24T14:27:00Z&max-results=50&start=34&by-date=false and my ladies had asked if they could make one similar. My answer was of course..... Everybody had a journal, trinket key, 1 metre of velvet ribbon and approx 1/2 metre of the elegant eggplant scallop dots ribbon and 1/2 sheet of the nursery nest designer paper. I provided the stamp set Apothecary Art and the framlits dies and embossing folders as well as Everything Eleanor and some inkpads.....Everybody let their imagination run.. Here is the table they were working on
and some finished journals

Friday Class Projects

Good Morning I feel like I have had a really early start today. Hannah is sitting her SATS this week and school are providing breakfast club just for the year 6 so of course she wanted to go! School for her started 1/2 an hour earlier than normal which is a lot especially when you have bathroom slots!!!! Anyway we managed a chilled out start with no shouting and me running up and down the stairs when she had forgotten hairbands and toothbrush. I dropped her off popped to the local shops, and then came home to an empty house! BLISS had breakfast and have washing on the line its very blowey but keeping an eye out for the rain! I have managed to check emails and the demo website and now I am posting before I start to cut my kits for my class this Thursday. Last Friday saw my class where we normally make 2 cards although this month it was a bit different. I had two ladies (my trouble makers) ha ha who made cards Here the ladies are and the two cards that they made.
Both cards use images and designer paper from our new summer mini. I think that Sweetcake may take some time to appeal but it is a fun set and I can see me using it for teenage cards etc...We also used the gold embossing podwer and dazzling diamonds on this card for more added bling!!!!! The other card uses Bordering on Romance which was also a raffle prize which Georgina won she was very pleased as you can image. This card had the image stamped and was then coloured in with blender pens and ink from the lid. The roses were made using the 1 3/8" circle punch, you form a spiral by cutting with your snips and then rolling up. A bit fiddly and you need some patience but I think they look lovely and make a very feminine card. Join me tomorrow and I will show you the alternative project that was made by my other ladies.

One the day I didn't added the ribbon and small tags, purely becuase of the time element. and lastly my 6 x 6 scrap box page....ahhhhh for some reason blogger won't update this photo!!!!! but I hope you get the idea. I am off to cheerleading shortly for a mid week practice! Hannah has joined the stunt squad so need to go and fill my flask and pack some slimming goodies for me :) Tomorrow brings my eldest Daughter Alice's 18th Birthday so I am sure things will be a bit hectic here first thing but I have the birthday cake and presents are packed and ready.
