It's the weekend

Good Morning

I hope you have lots of fun things planned for this weekend.  Later on today we are off to my mums who is doing a belated birthday party for Alice who was 19 earlier this month.

We love to get togther as a family so this will be a great opportunity to catch up.

Now let me show you the last card from my Monday class

For this card we used the retiring wonder crayons and the aqua painters again to colour in the image which is from Easy Events.

Pool Party and So Saffron are this colour combo.

If you liked the cards I have shown this month, why not book your space at the next class which is Monday 3rd June 7-9pm at St John's Church Churchdown.

Oh Hello

Good morning

I am trying to get back on track and ahead of myself before half term next week, as Hannah and I are going away for a few days.

Here are a couple more cards from my Monday Class

I love the colours here, Marina Mist and Cherry Cobbler, the base is River Rock which will be leaving us at the end of next month.

There is quite of lot of big shot work here, with the edgelit, embossing folders and dies, but an easy card to duplicate.  A bit if bling in the bottom corner just brings the card to life.

The second card uses some of the canvas sheets and pretty Amour Amour DSP.

I do hope that the doilies are carried over into the next catalogue they are just sooooo pretty.

The colour combination for this card is whisper white and primrose petals.

Enjoy your day.

Goodbye

Good morning

Yesterday we said goodbye to Chloe our French exchange student who has been staying with us for a week.  I am so soft as I had a tear in my eye when I dropped her off at school with Hannah yesterday, but she had become part of the family for the week and she and Hannah got on so well, there was lots of giggling and bantering going on at night....

During the week we have visited some local attractions.  Here are the girls at Bourton on the water on Sunday

Well life went back to normal last night as I ran my late Monday class for this month.  The date of the class fell on a bank holiday at the beginning of May and I decided to have the night off, and ran the class on the 12th May and also last night.

The technique we learnt was the whitewash technique.  I think most people bought the craft white ink refill and also the aqua painters if the didn't have them.

I love this technique and you will have seen it around blog land.....We used pretty in pink cardstock and regal rose ink which are 2 retiring colours so if you like them you need to order them before the 30th June.  Watch this space as I will be updating my blog with details of how you can start ordering online with me over the next few days, which will save you having to wait for a class or party to order.  This is very exciting news for us.

Friday's class

Good Morning

Last Friday was my monthly two card class and we made a Triangle Tri Fold card and a masculine card.

I had 5 lovely ladies make this class, my Sister Georgina couldn't make it as she was finishing her essay for her degree ready to have a day off on Saturday to make our  Stampin'UP! regional training event at Telford.  This was an early start for us but an amazing day.....ooooh ladies just you wait until the new catalogue on the 1st July.

I digress so back to the cards we made.

Here is the Triangle Tri Fold card.

I have been trying to use up some of my retiring cardstock so our card includes certainly celery cardstock and ink.  The DSP is from the polka dot series and is daffodil delight in colour. A squashed soda top is on the front with some butterflies placed ontop.

My ladies did a bit of oh no when they saw the scalloped square on the front.  If you haven't seen this before it is created by using the scallop trim corner punch and border punch.  We have tried it in class before and it was a bit of a disaster darling........but everyone did really well and I had pre-cut some and had lots of spare cardstock.  This effect just takes a bit of practice and you must make sure that your cardstock measurements are exact.

The ribbon was contraband.....I found some pear pizazz seam binding ribbon in my stash and it matched so we went with it.

Our second card was for the men in our lives, I have to admit to not enjoying these cards as I like pretty but it it something I am going to be doing more of.

I was inspired by a card I saw on the Internet and originally used the card as my top sales card for my team and adapted it slightly to include more product for the class card.

I have used my favourite male stamp set French Foliage and a die from apothecary labels which was embossed with the Chevron folder.

Now I am off to change Hannah's bed as we have Chloe a french exchange student arriving tonight for a week, so Hannah will be on the floor.

Have fun crafting and I will be back soon X

Sunday 12 May 2013

Phew what a week.....

My posts have been severely lacking this week, I am so sorry but some times a week becomes so hectic it is enough just to survive the day to day stuff.

My hubby Paul isn't feeling too well today so we are having a lazy day, and I am pottering and catching up with work stuff from last week.

I have some photo's of our projects from last weekend's event and I am going to share these today.

At these events we have 3 sessions lasting 1 1/2 hours each and at the end of each session I move each project around the tables.

Project 1 was inspired by the wonderful Jenny Moors at www.stampingmoments.blogspot.com
this lady has the most amazing talent and is truly a lovely person an amazing combination X

Everyone made a memo board and we decorated it using elements from the Afternoon Daydream Scrapping kit and the collage Curios stamp set which everyone received in their goodie bag.

The middle portion of the board is a whiteboard and the bottom has a magnetic strip so you can added small notes.  The soda tops work brilliantly as the holders.

Project 2 was a selection of two cards and a decorated box again using the scrapping kit and the collage curios stamp set.

Project 3 was a lovely card and a wrap, a standard card and a decorated money box.  The card and wrap were inspired by my upline Kerry at a recent training event.

oops just noticed that the get well card is upside down but I hope you get the idea.

My next event is Saturday 9th November, so please register your interest asap.

I hope to be much more consistent with my blogging from now on. I am going to be working SMARTER and not HARDER....

Enjoy your Sunday X

Spring Extravaganza

What a beautiful day, I should be inside painting but I haven't been able to ignore the weather.  Tomorrow is another day...............

We are just waiting for Alice to get some bits together and then we are out for dinner tonight so thought I would use the time to post some pics of my extravaganza yesterday/

The top picture is is everyone's bag containing 1/2 a pack of the Afternoon Daydream Scrapping kit and a full pack of crepe paper.

The white bag contained the college curios stamp set and some soda tops and 2 metres of ribbon.

The bottom picture shows my prize patrol gifts and over £100 worth of raffle prizes.

Well done to everyone who won throughout the day.

I will be back tomorrow with some more pictures.
