A revisit to the beginning....

Last Thursday saw my card and 3d project class.

As I had been poorly I was limited for time and decided to revisit something that we made at the beginning of my Stampin'UP! journey.  Well done Sharon for remembering

The decoration came from a little something kerry gave me at our last quarterly training.

It's a large pillow box......with some velum and canvas creations in there.  Inside is a perfect fit for some chocolates.

The card that we made was cased from the Internet and Mary Fish.  I just kept coming back to this design, so it was meant to be

and the inside

A little bit of whitewash

Hi

Last week was a busy week for me with 3 classes and Hannah was away for the weekend Cheerleading in Liverpool and Paul was away in Cornwall racing.

On Wednesday morning I had Carol and Maggie make their own version of the memo board that we made at extravaganza in May and then straight after that I was on my way to Broadwell in the Forest of Dean to meet with a lovely group of ladies.  I forgot to take some photo's of the memo boards but have some cards to share with you using the lovely whitewash technique.

Here is the first one

I just love all the detail and the colour combination.  Who would believe wisteria wonder and cherry cobbler go together.  The flowers come from the stamp set Best of Flowers and I just love love it..........

The flowers were stamped in versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  You then colour in the flowers with white craft ink refill and your aquapainter.  Once dry you use ink from the lid of an inkpad and your aquapainter to colour in.

We made a second card using the same technique but with a blue colour theme.

My ladies loved the cards I would love to hear if you do to.  I will have a little gift for everyone who leaves me a comment.  So what are you waiting for?

Fathers Day

Hi there

Well posts have been severely lacking this week.  I have been struck down with a really nasty virus and have struggled with doing anything.  No sleep, and a constant cough have not been good for my crafting mojo.......or my attitude!!!!

I managed to attended my monthly training event for the team with Kerry on Wednesday, but by the time I got home I was just about done in.  Ladies and gents I am so sorry for my coughing and spluttering and cotton wool brain.....I just hope you don't catch it.

According to the doctor on Thursday it's a really nasty virus!! which should be pretty much gone by the end of the weekend.  I have to say it better be as I have 3 classes this week to plan and prep for as well as rescheduling a cancelled class from Friday.

I thought I would share my father's day card today as my parents are away on holiday and there is no danger of the card being seen.

We made this card a few months ago at our quarterly training event and I have been saving it.....

The stamp set is Dapper Dad which is in the spring/summer catalogue and is matched with the ovals framelits and a squashed soda top.

On my last post I also promised a photo of my Grandma and Mum at their birthday party last weekend.

My Grandma was 87 last Sunday and my mum was 67 the day before, we are so lucky to have so many generations still around.

My daughter Alice is expecting her first baby in November and that will make us 6 generations.  I am still getting used to the idea that I will be a grandma myself.  My picture shows that you are never to old to blow out the candles on your birthday cake.

Have a great weekend

Matching card and gift box

It's the end of the week I know but I have been battling a summer cold this week as well as a class and workshop, so have been doing as much as I can while feeling pretty rough, but it's the weekend tomorrow so a chance for a lie-in....

During May I have been showcasing these cards and matching box's at several of my classes, I have just used different colour combinations.

Here is my green combo

A mantra of working smarter and not harder has been doing the rounds with SU demo's and I am testing it out...hence re using projects at different classes with different people, and also adapting a card I had received from my up-line and a box we made at training.  It's amazing how different a project can look by just changing the colour.

and the pink combo

I have also done a blue combination at another class but don't have a photo.  Which colour is your favourite?

I am hoping to have some energy tomorrow to have a play with my pre-order products.....I have the house work and washing up to date and I have finger's crossed that Hannah will be out with her dad tomorrow afternoon/evening while he races in Birmingham

We have another family get together over the weekend as it's my mum and grandma's birthday, so I hope to be able to make their cards using some of my new stash....the new catalogue is soooooo exciting and I can now stroke my own copy ( I am so sad) :)

I will be back soon hopefully with fully charged batteries.....

Retiring Lists

It's that time of year again, when Stampin'UP! decide which products will make it into their new annaul catalogue.

I am a few days late posting this on my blog as I have been away, but everyone on my mailing list will have received their links yesterday.

Regular orders will be going through this month, so if there is something that is on your wish list and also on the retiring list you need to place your order.  All items are available while stocks last, so dont delay with any orders.

My next order will be going through later on tonight and then another one on Wednesday evening, you can phone me or email and payment can be taken from your visa/mastercard as well as cash or cheque.
