Quarterly Training Swap

Good Morning I hope you are enjoying a lazy Sunday................I need to pop out and stock up the food cupboards but that's pretty much it for me today.

Yesterday was a great day and my mind is buzzing with ideas, I need to reign myself in and make a to do list, but first of all today I want to share with you my SWAP.  Whenever we attend training we are asked to take along a SWAP, which is a card front using current Stampin'Up! products, we give one away and then should receive one back in return.  We then use these ideas for our parties and classes.

I have used my favourite stamp set yet again and there are a few sneak peaks from our Spring/Summer catalogue  Can you spot them?

I have used Pool Party and Summer Starfruit ink, some new Washi Tape and Gold Foil.  A single rhinestone just adds that tough of bling.  The design comes from something I found on pinterest and I have added my own twist.

Card Club Cards Jan 2014

Good Morning, the sun is shining and it is a bit too early for me on a Saturday morning.  I am off to our Quarterly Training meeting today in Hampshire and have a long drive ahead, but the early start is well worth the effort............a day of crafting with friends and also focusing on running a business is fun and inspiring......I need to say a big thank you to Diana who is driving 6 of us today.

Now just before I go let me share the other two cards from card club.

Firstly we have a masculine card using Serene Silhouettes, I have used Midnight Muse and Soft shy for this one.

We stamped the image from Serene Silhouettes and then mounted a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock over it with a 1 3/8" circle punched out.  I love the way this frames the image.  The 3 tiny dots in the corner were made by using the owl punch and its the tiny hole for the eyes....fiddly I know but it really balances out the card.

The second card uses Postage Due and Gorgeous Grunge.  I LOOOOOOVE this last stamp set and can find a use for it on most of my cards!!!!!!!!  My colour theme here is Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and So Saffron.  There is a birthday greeting on the card insert.

Card Club Cards January 2014

Last Monday was the first class of the year for me.  It was a great turn out for the beginning of January with 2 new guests joining us.

At this class we learn a new stamping technique and make 4 cards.

The technique for this month was called Double Texture Embossing.

I demonstrated both the cards that we made using this technique, I knew I should have refreshed myself via "Youtube" first  but we had a few laughs and got there in the end.

Both cards used the Fancy fan embossing folder and the Designer Frames embossing folders. My colour theme was nice and crisp using Whisper White, Smokey Slate and Burmuda Bay.  The stamp sets I used were Simply Sketched, Bright Blossoms and for the sentiments A Dozen Thoughts and Express Yourself.

I wanted to add a bit of bling to the butterfly card, but couldn't incorporate in the class fee, so I added some rhinestones later, its amazing how a little sparkle changes the image of the card.

I hope you like my technique for the month, why don't you give it a try?

Back tomorrow with 2 more cards.

My Christmas Extravaganza....

Hi there

I have just been unloading photo's and realised that I haven't shared my Christmas Extravaganza projects with you, so here they are better late than never and of course there is still time for you to purchase some of the products I used before the Autumn/Winter catalogue ends.

Like many other demo's I have moved away from the traditional red and green colours and opted for the fresh on trend blues and silver.

Everyone who attended the day received the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit, and the Merry Little Christmas Bundle.

With the bundle we created a supply of Christmas cards....

We made 2 cards of each design and of course my ladies made the cards their own, and mixed and matched greetings.  The photo's I have aren't great and I used the cards myself for Christmas........

We also made a gift bag and box using the Winter Frost DSP and the decorative window box's.  The ready made box's are a big hit with a number of my ladies as they do NOT like making box's! ladies you know who you are.....to complete the trio we also made a card using the thinlits dies.

The last project of the day was a snowflake rosette in a box frame.

This was a huge hit and we had no accidents with the hot glue gun.  As there are 2 rosettes in the banner kit as a bonus project we made this one too.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing these projects and if you would like to join us at my next extravaganza it will be on the 15th March.  Watch the special events bar at the top of my blog for more details.
