Clean and Simple Friday card

The second card of our Friday evening class was cased from Mary Fish at www.stampinpretty.blogspot.com  I love the way Mary keeps her cards so crisp, which is something that I find hard to do as I am a more is more girl.....

I just love this colour combo although I now need to order Tango Tangerine cardstock, which is perhaps the only cardstock I have never ordered......

What are we going to do now all these beautiful DSP have gone after sale-a-bration???? I think perhaps some of us are going to have withdrawal symptoms.

Short and sweet today as I am off to Swindon to meet a lady called Sarah to talk about business opportunities with Stampin'UP!

Friday Class

Good Morning are you surviving half term?

The thought I would meet with you early this morning before Hannah wakes with "what are we doing today mum!"

A few weeks ago I had my Friday class and we made this lovely gift card holder.  I love the use of the scallop square die and the big shot.

This is the front of the card and we have used the cloud embossing folder, floral fusion sizzlits and the leaves from the bird punch.

Here is the inside

You can pop in a gift voucher, money notes, photograph or even a special message into the pocket.

Drop by tomorrow and I will show you the 2nd card we made.

More Monday Cards

Good Morning

Hopefully I am back in the swing of making some regular blog posts....Today I am going to show you some more cards from my Monday class, before popping off to meet a lady I met at the malvern craft show who is hosting a party next month.

This first card is one that I received from my Stampin'UP! granny Jane.  I completely cased the card as I loved it and it was so clean and elegant.

Midnight Muse and crisp whisper white are the colour combo here together with some matching ribbon.  Can you see the clever use of the vine emboosing folder here.  This item is no longer available but you could easily recreate with another folder.

Our last card used Melon Mambo ink teamed with choclate chip and crumb cake cardstock.

Our next class is on the 1st April which is bank holiday Monday, if you would like to come but can't make the date I will re-run the class on Friday 12th April at Chapel Hay Methodist Church, Churchdown.

Monday Class Cards

Good Morning

At the beginning of the month I ran my Monday class.  Here we learn a new technique and make 4 cards.

It was an almost full class and lots of fun.....The technique we learnt was called the polished stone technique.  For this technique you need 2 bottles of reinkers, some cotton wool balls, rubbing alcolhol and glossy cardstock.

This technique provides a great background and in our case some wonderful butterflies.

Our cards need to be simple but effective at this class and I think this card marks all the box's.  I just love how our punches work so well together here we are using the curly label punch and the 1"square punch.  Our glossy cardstock had the technique applied to it and was then punched out with the itty bitty punch.

A greeting, some spritzing and DSP finish the look.

Our second card uses DSP again and the 1 3/4" circle punch, some bakers twine, ribbon and a button.

I will be back tomorrow with the last two cards.

Welcome to my new Demo's

Good Morning

I am off for coffee this morning with two good demo friends kerry and Belle but before I leave I am going to share with you the cards that I have sent out to welcome my new demonstrators this month.

I just love the postage stamp punch and the 1" square punch at the mo.....I wanted to use current catalogue products as sale-a-bration is coming to an end and I thought this would be a good card to start off their sample box's.

The cardstock is not quite navy and pool party and the dsp comes from comfort cafe.

I have used Ciao Baby stamp set and some bakers twine and faceted buttons.  A really simple layout which I will be using again...so keep a look out.

Welcome ladies I wish you every success with your business.

The fog is starting to lift.

Good morning

Those of you who have been following my blog will know that over the last 10 months I have had some serious health problems with my shoulder!!! and oh boy has it been giving me lots of aggro since the new year.  I have been referred for more physio but also have to take some serious pain medication which has been having a major effect on my energy levels and my brain.

I finally went back to the doctors yesterday to get the medication reviewed I need to be ME again and not some walking zombie......well I am already feeling more awake with the reduced levels of medication, okay so some pain but I am going to have to compromise.

So work here I come........firstly I put Hannah to work as she finished school yesterday for the Easter break, Helen is coming along this morning to complete her paperwork to become a demo so I thought some cake was required.

Hannah has just had a term of cookery and really enjoyed it!!!!  Here she is with her Jam and Cream victoria sandwich.  She even washed up.

Next I have taken some photo's for blogging and am going to sit today and schedule some forthcoming posts, but for today let me show you the card we have been making in my workshops this month.

We have made full use of all the sale-a-bration products, I will be sorry to say goodbye to the lushus designer paper and ribbon.  It's not to late if you wish to place an order make sure you contact me before midday tomorrow, when my last order will be going through.

Right off to put the kettle on....Helen is on her way.

Happy Mother's day

I really need more hours in the day......any ideas how I can achieve this?

The last few weeks have flown by and have been sooooo busy.  Kerry and I had the Malvern show and then we both went full ahead into the following week with classes and workshops.  I have found the cards we made and will photograph them asap and post.  I am hoping that tomorrow night (assuming that hannah is better and goes to guides that I can have a few uninterputed hours to schedule some posts.)

I have also had a marathon stamp a stack where my ladies and Owen made 18 cards, this was a great 4 hours and we had much fun and everyone finished....which is an added bonus.  Again photo's will follow.

I would also like to welcome Emmanuelle and Jane to my team.  If you are thinking about becoming a demonstrator there is still time to take advantage of the marvellous sale-a-bration offer of joining for £99 and choosing £162.50 worth of product to start your business off.  Give me a call for a no obligation chat.

Shortly I will be leaving for Helen's workshop but this morning has already been hectic as Hannah was poorly yesterday!  don't they always pick a great time!!!!  She was all dressed an ready to go out the door at 7.45am when the tears started...pretty unusual for Hannah, then she was going then she decided she was putting her pj's back on.  Now I knew she wasn't feeling well as PJ's are just for bedtime!!!!, this morning her throat now hurts so it has been a 45 minute round trip to take her to my mum and then I get back to find Alice hasn't gone to college as she isn't well!!!! no need to have made the trip as they could have looked after one another.

Now that I have updated you.... how about I show you my mother's day cards?  I have all the supplies and make cards for a living but I am the worst person for sending cards....but my mum loved her card and so did Paul's so I am really  going to make an effort to send cards.

I used the secret garden stamp set and the matching framelit dies, and one of my favourite colour combinations perfect plum and crumb cake.  My little bow was made using a fork which makes it sooo neat and tidy and the greeting was from Teeney Tiny Wishes and punched out with the word window punch and layered on a decorative label.  It really is the decorative label but there is a smart trick you can do with it to get this shape.

Right it's time to go.....I promise to be back soon with more to show you.

Here we are at the Stitch & Creative craft show

Good evening

Just thought I would do a quick post while dinner is cooking....Kerry and I have just finished our second day of the show, but there is still one day left so you can still pop along and see us tomorrow at the Malvern Showground.

We have met many lovely ladies and enjoyed stamping with some on our make and take hour.

Here is a snap shot of our stand.

Our feet are aching but we are have having loads of fun sharing our passion of what we love.  Tomorrow evening we have the job of packing all these lovely things away and dismantling shelves in order to fit them in the car to come home......I think we will both deserve a bottle of wine and a take away....perhaps a few hints need to be dropped to our husbands!!
