Winter post with sparkles

This was the second card I designed with the winter post stamp set. I have used whisper white, close to cocoa and real red cardstock, together with white craft and close to cocoa inkpads.
The image was stamped in the close to cocoa and then I added some 2 way glue pen around the antlers and sprinkled on dazzling diamonds. This gives a lovely christmas look. The snowflake from the set was stamped in craft to make a background.
The greetings comes from basic phrases and I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up, before punching out using the oval punch.
To finish off I used the chocolate chip satin ribbon which can be found in the mini catalogue.
Thanks for stopping by x

Christmas in JULY

I had a home workshop last night and my hostess had asked for a christmas card using the Winter Post stamp set.

The lovely Jane Cutting lent me her set as I didn't have it, so big thanks to her. I will give it you back tonight I promise :)

I had a number of my regular guests at the workshop so I have to say we didn't follow the normal workshop pattern...the party took its own twists and turns But I think everybody enjoyed themselves and the hostess was certainly happy with her £60 of free products and also her level two hostess set. For me it was a lovely end to my last workshop before my summer hols and the fabulous Stampin' Up! promotion over the last two months.

The card above was our make and take of the evening. We used whisper white, chocolate chip and real red cardstock, teamed with chocolate chip, real red and night of navy inkpads.

We stamped our image and then coloured in the two skaters using ink from the pad lids and the blender pens.

The ribbon is the red satin from the mini catalogue which we just tied in a knot. A fab TIP came from Stella when Irene struggled to get her knot looking right. You tie your knot and then turn the ribbon inside out...give it a try it works.

The greeting came from the basic phrases stamp set and we used two stamps (christmas and wishes) and aligned them using the stamp-a-ma-jig. We then punched out using, the oval punch and layered this on a scallop oval. We marked white dots on each scallop using the white stylo pen.

Now with my guests being seasoned crafters how cards turned out like this........each card was different, its lovely to see how people adapt ideas.

Tomorrow I will show you another card using the same stamp set. Bye for now......

Oh to be young again.....

This is Matt mountain boarding last weekend. It was the first time he had tried it and after a few falls he got the hang of it. The board is similar to a skateboard, but your feet are strapped on, and you then weave your way down a steep hill, where a truck is waiting for you at the bottom and brings you back to the top ready for you to go again.....
I have to say this kept him occupied for about 4 hours which is great going for a teenager...until he was so tired that he came home and went to bed. BLISS

Christmas in July!!

Again I have used some left over kits to make this Christmas card. The stamped image comes from the Fun and Fast Notes stamp set. The image was stamped in chocolate chip and then coloured in using blender pens and the ink from the lids of So saffron, real red and garden green inkpads.
The image is layered on black and real red card stock. I used the dauber dipped in shimmer paint to sparkle the edges.
I hope my friend Sharon likes this. She prefers stylish to fussy cards..... This card was sold at today's fair.

Thinking of you

I have made this card using one of the left over kits from one of my Monday Classes. I changed the stamped imaged so that it was more in keeping with the sentiment. I do love this level one hostess set, it has a rustic feel to it and looks lovely stamped in close to cocoa which is sadly one of our retiring colours.
I will be selling this card tomorrow at the Craft and Food Fair in Churchdown. If you are free pop along between 10-4 and say hello.
If you visit my stall tomorrow you can make a bookmark for 50p and enter the raffle for £1.00.
The raffle prizes are the Happy Moments stamp set and also free entry to my next Monday class on the 5th September.

I am still here

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know I am still around and busy but nothing yet to show on my blog. I am busy preparing for a food and craft fayre in our village this Saturday. I am also trying to take a bit of me time before the children break up from school!!!!
Hannah is away on holiday with my sister and her family this week so there has been no morning school run which is lovely although I have still had to get my middle one up for school. Although he now has tonsillitis so may not finish the week....
A shopping day to Bristol is planned for tomorrow and then Friday will be packing bags for the craft fayre. If you are local please pop in and say hello. The fayre is at St John's Church, Churchdown, Gloucester from 10-4pm.

Freebies!!!

Look at all of these. I have been able to claim 5 FREE stamp sets for reaching the second part of my Stampin Start goals. During the first six months of becoming a demonstrator we are given incentives for reaching certain sales and recruitment levels.
I have to admit I was rather scared to start with and thought if I meet my quarterly sales of £250 I will be happy, but with such fab products to sell and demonstrate I have been able to easily meet this and the other targets. The only one I wasn't able to meet was the recruitment side of thing. Although this would have been nice I am more than happy with my 8 FREE stamp sets (of any value and my choice). The stamp sets I chose this time are for the value of £97.80, and not a penny did I pay.
A big thank you to all my customers without you I couldn't have achieved it. X

Vintage Vogue Easel Card

This was the card project we did at last nights class. Its at easel card which is so easy to do, but looks so pretty in these colours. We used cameo coral, so saffron, always artichoke and whisper white. I made the dotty background myself using the dot dot dot background stamp from the mini catalogue and the stamp-a-ma-jig to cover an A4 sheet of whisper white card and then cut to size. By doing this you can create a background using all of the stampin up colours.
The flowers are from the vintage vogue stamp set and were covered in heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds. WOW what a sparkle. We were covered in glitter by the end of the night. A clear rhinestone brad was added to the centre of each flower.
The corner scallop has a white dot on each scallop made using the white gel pen. The sentiment came from oval all and was punched out using the oval punch and then mounted on an oval scallop. I adhered this to the card using dimensionals, so that the card flap sat against it just like in the above picture..

My Baby

This is Hannah on Sunday after her cheer leading competition. When she performed her hair looked lovely but this is the end of the day look!!
Her team came first in the youth division so they were all really chuffed. She keeps telling everyone that they came first but that one of the seniors broke her arm in the tumbling competition. As their head coach said it is a dangerous sport but also a lot of fun.

Tuesday 13 July 2010

This is a peek at one of our projects on Thursday.....can you guess what it is going to be? I will reveal the full photo on Friday. There is glitter involved somewhere.
I have one spare place for this Thursday's class if you would like to join us please give me a call. Class starts at 7.30pm in the small hall at St John's Church Churchdown.

Inspiring Inkin Team Meeting 10.7.2010

It was our quarterly team meeting on Saturday but unfortunately I was unable to make it as Hannah had a cheer leading competition over the weekend. Above is the swap I made and sent in my absence. I really am trying to use some different colour combo's and come out of my comfort zone!! I hope my fellow demonstrators like the result.
I have used soft suede, more mustard and pumpkin pie. The stamp set is circle circus which I borrowed from my sister and the inked images have been punched out using the scallop circle, 1" and 1 1/4" punch. I have also used the corner rounder. The greeting comes from sincere salutations. As accessories I have used circle fire brads, Chrystal effects and 3/8" chocolate chip taffeta ribbon..

Card 6

And here is our last card of the evening. August is that time where we will hopefully be saying congratulation to our children on their exam results...so we made that card in anticipation.
We have used whisper white, black and real red cardstock. The image comes from Fun and Fast Notes again and has been stamped in real red ink and then coloured in using ink from the lid of the pad.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at our class cards. If you would like to join us in the next class which is on the 6th September please get in touch.
There will be NO CLASS DURING AUGUST.

Card 5

A card saying "Thinking of you" always comes in useful. The cardbase is whisper white followed by old olive. I have paper pierced all around this piece of cardstock. The image is stamped from the Bird on a Branch stamp set and has been coloured in using blender pens and ink from the lid of chocolate chip and old olive inkpads.

Simple but sincere.

Friday 9 July 2010

Card 4

I thought we would add a child's birthday card to our stack this month. Its lovely and colourful. The stamp set used is Birthday Best. The images have been stamped in white craft ink onto tempting turquoise, real red, yoyo yellow and green galore cardstock. I have added a black piece of cardstock punched out from the window punch, some red gingham and a brad from the vintage range.

Alice's Prom Night

It was a very big night for Alice yesterday as it was PROM. All the preparation from weeks of looking for a dress, accessories, having hair and nails done came to an end.
She looked gorgeous. Its hard to believe that she is only 16 and that a few weeks ago you would have seen her walking around in her school uniform looking nothing like a princess.
The only thing missing for her was her dad but I am sure he was looking down at her from another world feeling very proud....

Thursday 8 July 2010

Card 3

This card uses the Baroque Motifs stamp set. The large block image is stamped in melon mambo onto very vanilla cardstock. The smaller flowers are stamped in rich razzleberry and then hand cut and adhered with Tombow.
The greeting comes from Sincere Salutations and is inked in rich razzleberry and punched out using the oval punch and then layered onto a scallop oval of rich razzleberry cardstock.

Wednesday 7 July 2010

Card 2

I thought we would add a wedding day card as Jan one of my ladies has had several to go to lately and it is that time of year.......
We used the gorgeous Confetti White cardstock for the base and then layered with pale plum and a smaller piece of confetti white. Its a shame pale plum is retiring as it is one of my favourites colours. The stamp comes from the Fun and Fast Notes stamp set and was inked in basic grey and then coloured in using ink from the lid of the grey and pretty in pink using blender pens. The confetti white is great for this type of colouring in. I have raised the image by adhering using dimensionals.

Tuesday 6 July 2010

Card 1 From Monday's Class

This was our first card of 6 made yeserday. We used whisper white as the card base followed by a layer of pretty in pink. We then cut out a 1 3/4" circle in the pink card. On a piece of perfect plum card we inked a butterfly stamp from Flight of the Butterfly and punched out using the butterfly punch. The greeting along the bottom came from the same stamp set and was inked in perfect plum. The eyelet border punch along the bottom gives a pretty touch to this lovely card.

Monday 5 July 2010

Hostess Gift

As promised here is the blue version of this months hostess gift. I really like the colours together. I have used bordering blue which is a retiring colour, together with night of navy and bashful blue. I have used the rock and roll technique when stamping the flowers in the oval image to give some interest to the card.
You can make one design and then change it over and over by just altering the colour combination.
Thanks for stopping by.

July Hostess Gift

Are you thinking about hosting a workshop? This is the gift all my hostesses will be receiving this month. Its a lovely little tote bag with 3 notelets inside. I have used rich razzleberry and melon mambo for this bag with whisper white for notelet fronts. Pocket silhouettes is the stamp set and the eyelet border punch has also been used.
I nearly through my toys out of the pram yesterday when I couldn't get my first attempt at the bag right but once my sister pointed out that I had cut the cardstock wrong it was easy to do.
Join me tomorrow and I will show you the same gift but with a different combination.

July Make and Take

Good morning everyone. I thought I would share with you my July make and take for home workshops.
Do you like it? would you and your friend like to have fun and make your own. If the answer is YES please get in touch as I still have a few available dates in my diary for home workshops.
My colour combination for this month is very vanilla, chocolate chip and so saffron. I have used vintage vogue yet again but have chosen a different stamp and we will be using the heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds to create a Wow factor.
