Stampin' Write Markers SHARE

Do you have the Stampin’ Write Marker Pens on your wish list? If not, why not?!! I have actually fallen in love with these marker pens. They are seriously the best marker pens that I have ever used in conjunction with my rubber stamps. They are a nice size, and double ended, with a thick and a thin nib. The pens can be used to directly colour onto a rubber stamp, allowing you to create an image with multiple colours. They are also great for colouring in, and writing.

If you sign up to this share you are committed for the whole 4 months. Each month you will receive a colour family of marker pens and by the fourth month you will have received all four colour families of pens along with the Carry Case and 5 In Colour markers which will give you a total of 43 markers, wow, just think of all the colour combinations you can create with all those colours! There are compartments left available in the carry case to store the new 5 In Colours that will be released in October 2011!

To enable this share to run fairly and smoothly I will require 4 post dated cheques of £26.55 (includes s&h to me) which will be processed each month before I order the markers (or if you are a regular at one of my classes you can hand deliver your payment each month!) If you are not within easy travelling distance from me then postage will be charged at cost to deliver each monthly offering.

Important bit:

■ Each marker club will consist of four members, and run for four months.

■ You must commit to participate for the four months duration of the club.

■ Commitment will require post dated cheques, which will be deposited with the bank on the 1st of each month.

Please contact me if you are interested in join this marker pen club!

Thursday's glitter card

This is the card we made last Thursday. I used the colour coach to decide on my colour theme of Rose Red, Baja Breeze and Elegant Eggplant.
The sanded background stamp was used first and stamped in Rose Red ink. and then we layered up the Elegant Eggplant, Baja Breeze and Rose Red DSP from the paperstack. We used the scallop trim border punch along each side of the bottom card piece. A little fold of organza ribbon was added as an embellishment along with 2 large pearls.
The butterflies were stamped on the card in elegant Eggplant and then we stamped 2 more onto scrap card and then hand cut out to layer over the ones already stamped. (saves cutting out fiddly antennae. We then painted the butterflies in Chrystal effect which had a little dazzling diamonds powder mixed into it. This gives a subtle sparkle. A couple to tiny pearls were added to the ends of the antennae.
Now the butterflies come from a stamp set called strength and Hope. For each purchase of this stamp set Stampin' UP! will donate £1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Thursday's 3d project

This project is definitely on for keeps as it is a DVD presentation case. (ideal for birthday and Christmas pressies). The case is in chocolate chip and then there are layers of Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla. We have stamped en-francis on the front and then over stamped with images from clearly for you (mini Catty). These images have then been coloured in using the marker pens.
Vicky showed the ladies a lovely technique to ruffle the ribbon. It was lovely to be able to give a little more attention to everyone as we only had 10 ladies.
We changed the butterflies on the box to some real red ones using the butterfly embosslits and the big shot. A massive thanks to Irene for bringing them for us all to use.
Join me tomorrow and I will show you the card we made.

Away at sea........

Yesterday was such a lovely day here in Gloucestershire, so we went boating...we didn't quite make it to sea but we went up the Gloucester and Sharpness canal to Saul Junction and stopped off for lunch before taking a lazy journey back. You can see Hannah and Thomas enjoying the sunshine. They were waiting for the model boats to be launched.
I am lucky that Paul's parents live on a narrow boat and are currently moored near Gloucester docks. As Paul and his dad were busy working on repairing Paul's car for racing on Monday we Ladies took the helm with a little help from John Georgina's husband.
It was such a relaxing day.....................and guess what there's more relaxing today as its Georgina's birthday so a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER XXXXX

Today its Hannah's 10th Birthday....time seems to have flown by but now she is in double digits!!!!

Vicky's Birthday Treat

Last night was my monthly team training with Vicky and Trevor and my two honourary members Irene and Georgina. It was a very special day for my downline Vicky as it was her birthday and she chose to spend the evening with us!!! Georgina and I made Vicky a cake and gave her some flowers.

April Monday Card Class 6 cards

This card was very pink....We have used Melon Mambo ink and cardstock for this one.
We used the music notes wheel and then used the spritzer tool with the melon mambo marker all over the very vanilla base. The greeting was from curly cute and we made our own buttons to go either side of the greeting, using the 1/2" circle punch, and gold elastic.
Some of us had fun trying to decide which way was the right way up before using the roller.

April Monday Card Class 6 cards

This card combines very vanilla and rose red cardstock. The inks used were crumb cake and rose red. Just plain old stamping and a bit of paper tearing finishes off this card. The greeting wasn't every bodies cup of tea but I had sincere salutations to hand....

April Monday Class 6 cards

Sorry I am a bit late in showing these cards from our class at the beginning of April where does the time go?
Any way the first card is using one of my favourite sets Plane and Simple. The cardstock was very vanilla and the ink was early espresso.
This card was just stamping and then punching out the greeting and layering it on a scallop oval.
A lovely card for the men in our lives. Included in the set is a Happy Fathers Day greeting so you could stamp this instead of the one we used.

Vicky's Inspiration Table

These photo's don't do Vicky's work justice. In real life they were amazing. She showed us how to do a masking technique using fiskett film. The results were stunning. I am going to get some film and will them show you some projects.

Quarterly Training

Goodness me I really can't believe its been 3 months since our last quarterly team meeting. Last Saturday was the day and I have to say it was lovely driving there and back in the daylight...
As most of you know we always take swaps with us and SWAP them with other demo's so that in theory we come back with lots of ideas for new cards and projects.
Above is my swap. I seem to have fallen in love with this stamp set. It is called Plane and Simple and is in the new mini catty.
My card base is very vanilla and onto this I have stamped in image in crumb cake and then again in early espresso. I then spritzed over the image using the spritzer tool and early espresso marker. (many thanks to my downline Trevor who helped with this when time was running out.)
I have used DSP from the neutrals stack and some strips of early espresso cardstock. The greeting is stamped and punched out using the word window punch and then layered onto a modern label. I used the crop-o-dile and eyelets at each end and threaded through some linen thread. (Many thanks to Vicky my downline who helped with this) I have such a fab team....
Pop back tomorrow and I will show you Vicky's inspiration table. During Saturday Vicky demonstrated a technique to us in small groups and had many samples to show using the Buttons Buttons stamp set.

Our Morning Project

During the morning everyone made this beautiful clock (it really works) and the matching card. You can see the box that was also made on yesterday's post.
We used the Sense of Time stamp set and vintage Vogue. Amanda you can see where the TIME of your life comes in now...
I have to thank my lovely sister for sourcing all the working clock parts and stands on the Internet and my hubby for drilling all the holes needed.
Lastly I have to say that I cannot take the credit for this fantastic project. The idea came from a class that I brought from Jenny Moors www.stampingmoments.blogspot.com . I just changed the colour combo and DSP. We used Cajun Craze and Baja Breeze together with Elegant Soiree DSP.
