Update on my grandson Kobe

Good morning

How are you today?  my planning week is on schedule and my creative juices are flowing.....

My little grandson Kobe is now 6 months old, and although he travelled a rocky road to get here, he is now a thriving bouncy boy.

Alice is now starting to wean him, so here is nanna giving it a go, in our makeshift high chair.

His hands were everywhere and it was spaghetti and tomato sauce too......this takes me back to my youngest Hannah, and it doesn't seem 5 minutes ago that I was doing this with her.

A new team member..................

Good morning

I hope you all had a great weekend, it's Monday again and things start all over again don't they, for me this week isn't so hectic.  I will be designing all my projects for next months classes and events as well as focusing on my paperwork.

Last Friday I travelled to The Belfry which is just off Junction 9 of the M42 to meet one of my new recruits Sandra.

Golly it was posh, but Sandra and I had a good time, talking about her party this week, our regional event at Telford in May and also convention in October, and of course our love of stamping.

I designed a card for Sandra to use at her party and well as two up scaled versions.  Now she had ordered the Chalk Talk bundle in her starter kit, so wanted to use this.

Here is the party card.....

and the up scaled versions......

I love the colour combination of whisper white, smokey slate and pistachio pudding how about you?

Team training cards for February.

Last Monday was Kerry and my team training event.  It was Kerry's turn to design the projects, but I had to design cards for my top 3 sales demonstrators in February.

I had a couple of kits left over from card club, so decided to upscale the original design.

I promise you my very vanilla cardstock was straight, its just the photo quality!!!! on downloading.

Team training is great for demonstrators to get together and chat and craft...there were about 22 of us and it was great to meet new members.

Have a lovely weekend, I am meeting up with an old school friend later on today and spending some time with the family, which is much needed after a busy week.

Extravaganza photo's a little late................

Hi

I called into see my mum and dad yesterday and she said she had been checking my blog to see what we had made at extravaganza last weekend.......I don't know where the week has gone but hey presto we are at Friday again.

I have family coming to dinner this evening, but things are organised so I thought I would take a minute to post.

I had 15 ladies join me last Saturday as well as my friend Nancy who comes along to mann the refreshments for me.  Nancy comes along to all my classes to do this, so a huge thank you to her; and also HUGE thanks to my mum who made a wonderful selection of homemade cakes for me.

We have 3 sessions at extravaganza

Session 1 was this lovely decorated mirror

Here is the close up of the flowers

We used the floral framelits, the flower punch and the rose spiral die to create the different shaped flowers.  The centres are a combination of rolled stretch trim ribbon and cardstock cut with the fringe scissors.  Some burlap ribbon is just layered under the flowers.

Now session 2 was a box to put the mirror in, a card and a treat holder.

Our last session of the day was 3 cards.....

It was a fun filled day enjoyed by everyone.  I do apologise for the picture quality, they are all ok in my picture folder, but become blurry when I download them.  If you have any suggestions I would be really grateful. X

Last card from card club this month...

Hi

Today is my extravaganza so I have been busy preparing all week, I am looking forward to crafting with some lovely ladies today.  I will share some pictures tomorrow.......but for now I am going to share our last card from card club.

This was a simple card with just a base and a few layers, of cardstock and designer paper.  We punched out a curly label and then using the essentials paper piercing pack pierced around the outside edge to create a border.

The butterfly comes from Papillion Potpourri and of course there is a matching punch.  A rhinestone in the centre of the butterfly completes the card.

Right I am off to Extravaganza now.............enjoy your Saturday and I will be back tomorrow with some pictures of our projects.

More from Card Club

Hi

During recent parties I have sold lots of the Petite Petals Bundle, and have been using it on lots of different projects.

Here is the card I designed for card club this month

I have used the sale-a-bration set petal parade to compliment the petite petals and used strips of designer paper from the fresh prints paper stack.  A few rhinestones placed in the centre of the flowers just adds that final touch.

Another card followed with gasps of do we have to hand cut................oh yes indeed I replied he he

golly I'm not sure what happened to this photo....it looks like it has the shakes......  It's hard to see but I have used gorgeous grunge and also the gently falling stamp set,  Marina Mist and crushed curry are the colours.  I have separated a few sequins from the trim and adhered with a  little glue.

Some projects from Card club earlier this month...

Hi

This month at card club we tried our hand at the chalkboard technique.  It is a great use of the new chalk marker pen on page 37 of the spring/summer catalogue and great value for money at £3.25.

We used the white craft pad to stamp the main image.

I think this really looks like a chalkboard............and love the use of the banner punch in the corner.  A bit of white bakers twine finishes the look.

You could do this technique with any outline stamp.  I think Vivid Vases on page 20 of the catalogue would be fab.

If you fancy learning a new technique each month join me on the 1st Monday of each month at card club.  Contact me to book your place.

A cute little box and card to show

Hi

I am really struggling with blogger at the minute, and usually use google chrome, which doesn't upload properly, so to post I have to switch to Internet explorer and everything just takes longer.....so I am going to try and grab some time this evening to sit and schedule some posts.......

A few weeks ago we made a cute box and card using the sweet sorbet designer papers and the envelope punch board, in one of my classes.  The majority of my class members have the envelope punch board and I am enjoying showing them lots of different projects, that they can recreate at home.

I think these two projects look so fresh and spring like.  I have used lots of sale-a-bration products as well as the petite petals bundle from page 33 of the spring/summer catalogue.

With the weather on the up.....and these colours I feel that I have a real spring in my step.....how about you?
