Coloured velum

Good Morning

I am doing well for posts this week!!! lets hope it continues.  I have to admit blogging via google chroome
is so quick.

The card I am showing you today is very simple but I think the velum butterfly gives a great wow factor.

The card base is summer starfruit and I have used comfort cafe dsp and very vanilla and soft suede cardstock.

The flourish image is from Flowering Flourishes which I borrowed from one of my team and then we used the butterfly embosslits and die cut the butterflies using velum and then we sponged matching colour onto them.

I am sure that I will be using this technique again, as I love the effect it gives.

A reverse folding card

Morning

Today and tomorrow  I am going to show you a couple of cards that we made at the end of last year, which I hadn't photographed due to the poor light.

The first card is a reverse folding card.

The dsp is from patio party, this series is so versitile and I have used the labels framelits, and the leaves sizzlits die.

The cardstock is very vanilla and primrose petals and that matching ribbon again!

The flower is a sizzlits die called Floral Fusion.  In the centre of the flower we added a vintage faceted designer button, with some linen thread.

A perfect little gate fold card

Good Morning

Here is the second card from my class last Friday.

We made a gate fold card, something we have done before but this time I added a belly band and made use of the windows framelits again.

The card base is whisper white and you can make 2 cards from a 12 x 12 sheet of card cardstock.

I love that this card is colourful, it will certainly brighten someone day.  The dsp is from patio party which I have been using a lot recently, and I have teamed it with crumb cake and primrose petals card stock.

The ribbon is primrose petals 3/8" stitched satin.  I am offering this colour in one of my ribbon shares, you can find about it here

Here is the card when it is open.

Warmest Wishes

Last Friday I held my 2 card class, I had a small select group this month, so we  ran the class from my home.  I have to say it was lovely not to have to pack the car and go out into the cold.  Jana brought along some lovely cake and we crafted and chatted for 2 hours.

The first card we made is a birthday card but you could easily change the sentiment and you would have a great layout for a  wedding card.

The card base is naturals ivory and then layered with very vanilla and crumb cake.  I love this combination (not sure if you can tell :) )

I have used the window frames framelits which I have only just bought and we used the paper piercing pack to decorate the edges.  I have distressed the edges of the card stock and then sponged them with crumb cake ink.

We scored the very vanilla panel using the diagonal plate and stamped the watermark image from French Foliage, to add to the distressed feel.  a pearl was added to score diagonal score cross.  The ribbon was crumb cake seam binding.

The sentiment comes from Blooming with Kindness.

I will be back tomorrow with the second card  X

Photo's I hope

I have been very patient and looked for answers to my problem and it appears that blogger are aware of the issue and trying to resolve it. Lets hope they do it soon.........

I am hoping that by using google chrome instead of internet explorer I can post my pics so here goes..........

Well the photo's have finally been uploaded, but I am not so happy with the layout but hey at least I have something to show you.  I am not a computer techno so when things change from the norm I struggle!!

My colour combo is riding hood red and baja breeze and the dsp is twitterpated which is one of my favourites that carried over from last years spring catalogue.  The butterfly was punched out from scraps of the dsp and her feelers are from paplilion potpourri.  The greeting is from teeny tiny wishes.

I hope to be back tomorrow with more to show you.

Matching birthday box and Card

Last month at one of my classes we made a matching box and card to celebrate a birthday.  It was a lovely change from Christmas projects.

It's a big thank you to my upline Kerry for the box template and the card was inspired from a swap I had also received from Kerry.

Now keep your fingers crossed that blogger is going to play ball and let me upload the photo's to show you.  It's been a pain all week not letting me upload from my photo gallery.

Can you believe it, it will let me load from my tablet, but not main computer!!!!!FRUSTRATING I will try and have another look and load the photos separately.

I have so much to show you!!!!

I would like to introduce you all to Shayna the newest member of our family.

We are all getting used to walks, mad moments and picking up the poo!!!!!!  I am amazed at how much she sleeps, but it's lovely when I am working as she sleeps in her basket by my feet, and now I can talk to the dog rather than myself.

She is just soooooo cute.

Right Hannah is off to cheerleading for a few hours, which means a bit of peace for me.  Enjoy your weekend.

Last Christmassy Post :)

Good Morning

Paul has done a little DIY over the Christmas Break, which meant I had to take down our decorations early.  My living room has had a little updating although it's not finished yet......I will have to nag a bit more this year to get started jobs finished.  (those who have been to my house will know what I mean....being married to a builder is not always as good as you think!)

I thought today I would share with you some of the lovely handmade cards I recieved this year, I hope these will inspire you with card layouts this year and for Christmas cards later on....

I will be back tomorrow with more handmade cards.

2013 - Happy New Year

Like many of you, I am back at work today so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year.  I am looking foward to sharing stampin'Up with you throughout 2013.  All of you that are on my mailing list will have received the class dates for 2013 and these have now been updated on my blog and you can find them under the heading (classes).  Why not take a look under (special events) here you will see my provisional dates for this years extravaganza's.  More details and prices will follow shortly for these events.

You will notice that I have been missing in action over the last few weeks this is due to me taking a Christmas break and also becoming a new 'mummy' to a four legged little girl called Shayna who we inherited on 5th December following the untimley passing of my father-in-law.  Graham's passing was not expected and left us with much to do and sort out and a delay of 3 weeks before his funeral which finally took place last Friday the 28th December. A dog was all Hannah wanted for Christmas and she had reluctantly agreed to sponser a dog instead as it didn't seem practical to have a real one.  Now we have one, we would not be without her and are enjoying welcoming her into our madhouse!!  I look forward to introducing her to you very soon.

I will be back with some crafting inspiration for you later this week.
