From a mess to this..............

On Monday I was working hard to design some projects for team training that same night.  I always work well under pressure...hehe if I tell myself that I just about manage not to go into full blown panic..........

Here is my original mess and a little sneak peak of one of the projects.

Well my mess resulted in these two projects.

The little box was made using the envelope punchboard and holds a bar of chocolate.  The box is held closed with some stretch trim ruffled ribbon, and makes a wonderful little gift for someone.

The card uses the stamp set Happy Watercolour and the splodge is in a new colour called Mossy Meadow which will join us as an In Colour in the new 2014-2015 annual catalogue.  The ribbon is also a new addition as well, called Lost Lagoon, and in the centre of the butterfly is a dash of Blackberry Bliss.  Stampin'Up! have many new treats in store for us in the new catalogue, so do make sure you keep watching my blog and joining me on my facebook page caroonstampin.  I will be sharing new products and my projects via these two sources.  Please share these with your friends and family and spread the word.

Team sales card for March 2014

Every month I recognise the top 3 sales demonstrators in my team, with a hand made card.

I had forgotten to show you this one last month, so here it is now.

It's another card inspired by Mary Fish...........

The stamp set used is called Tag It and we received it last year at convention.  Now I have never used it, so before I could start I had to mount the set. The lovely thing about this set is that Stampin'Up! will donate £2 to the Ronald McDonald charities when you purchase the Tag It stamp set.

My colour theme is Coastal Cabana, So Saffron and Tango Tangerine.  I used the dazzling details to define the centre of the small flowers and the twine is the gold bakers twine.

Well done to you all, I appreciate all the hard work you do in running your businesses your way.

A thank to my team members

 Good morning

At the end of last month I held a little gathering for my top 3sales people for the last quarter.

We had a lovely evening just chatting and eating of course, and Alice popped in with Kobe as Irene had not seen him.

Trevor, Christine and Donna were my top 3 sales demonstrators for the last quarter and as well as some nibbles I also had some cards and gifts for them.

Here is the card I had made for them.  This was inspired from a very similar card I saw on Mary Fish's blog (stampinpretty).  I love Mary's clean and simple cards and when I am looking for inspiration she is often my first port of call.

I love the contrast of cream and black and our Modern Medley designer series paper work so well here.  I used the arrows embossing folder to add some texture to the base of the card and then the 1" square punch made short work of the DSP pattern.  The butterfly has a large pearl in the centre and the greeting was from the stamp set Lovely Romance.

Continuing with the colour theme I decorated some gifts for them.

I decorated a pot of the Essentials Wooden Elements and in the glassine bag was a pack of subtles candy dots.

Well done guys X

Class projects for April

Last week I mentioned that I would be using the same projects with a little change.

Several of my mentors (Amanda and Kerry) repeatedly say that you don't have to re-invent the wheel at each and every class.

I was lucky as only one of my team were able to make team training last month, so I was able to use my projects in my classes this month.  I repeated this at 3 classes, and my workload was mighty reduced..hehe

Smokey Slate and Calypso Coral colour theme this time.  I used some organza ribbon around the box and a greeting from the Label Love stamp set, it also has a matching punch.  Some rhinestones just finish off the box and card.

Everyone also had the chocolates to put in the box.

Happy 50th birthday wishes

My good friend Vicky recently celebrated a special birthday and Hannah and I were honhored to attend her surprise birthday party.  Yes she really didn't know, her husband had arranged everything and got in touch with family and friends.  He even catered all the food himself.

She is a very lucky lady.....

Here is the card I made for her.  As you will see the sketch is the same as I have previously used.

I think this card just shows how easy it is to take a sketch and alter the look by just using a few different things like the colour and embossing folder.

Hannah's little creation

Last Sunday I promised Hannah that she could decorate a frame she had bought for her best friend Lizzy who lives in Devon.

We had seen the frame whilst out shopping in half term and then she choose some felt and decided to make some flowers to put on it.

Hannah die cut the flowers using my big shot and the spiral flower die, this die makes short work of the felt and the flower is then rolled up and glued using a hot glue gun.

Here is the finished result

We really hope she likes her belated birthday gift.......Hannah did make a matching card but we forgot to take a picture before she sealed the envelope.
