And finally the last card. The card base is very vanilla for a change layered with night of navy and taken with teal. The top layer is very vanilla and an image from studio sketches has been stamped using close to cocoa. The corners of the layers have been notched out using the square punch.

The greeting has been stamped in whisper white craft and comes from sincere salutations. A stamp-a-ma-jig was used to position the greeting.

Everyone made these 6 cards in 2 hours. Our next class is the 5th July come along and join us.

Card 5

There's a bit of a pattern here its whisper white again for the card base and then we have used the scallop square punch and punched out using pumpkin pie and more mustard cardstock together with dsp from bella bleu. The final square was stamped onto whisper white using old olive and the say it with scallops stamp set and then punched out using the scallop square. How simple.....

The bottom of the card has a strip of pumpkin pie which was punched with the scallop border punch and then a row was pierced using the paper piercing tool and mat.

Card 4

For card no 4 the base is whisper white with a layer of pale plum. We punched a 1 3/4" circle in the pale plum card stock and then placed three flowers around the circle. The flowers were punched using the 5 petal flower in rich razzleberry. Using the offcut of pale plum cardstock we punched out 1/2" circles.

The sentiment was stamped in rich razzleberry and comes from wonderful words.

Happy Fathers Day

Thought I would quickly post this before I go to wish my dad Happy Fathers Day.

I have taken my colour combination from a class card using very vanilla, taken with teal and night of navy. I have used the spiral punch along the edge and also the paper cutter to distress the edges a little. I have used close to cocoa and taken with teal inkpads.

The stamp sets used were occasional greetings and studio sketches which is a level 1 hostess set.

Card 3

Now I am sure my ladies and Trevor will agree that this card wasn't as straight forward as all the rest but they all managed to finish it in the end.

The card base is whisper white layered with pretty in pink and rose red. I have used simply said for all the stamping. The background stamp is in pixie pink and then the flower was pixie pink and chocolate chip. (this was two step stamping using the stamp-a-ma-jig) and then punched out using the 1" circle and layered onto a 1 1/4" chocolate chip circle.

The greeting was stamped using the black journal pen (this was the difficult part) Only the top line was inked first and then stamped onto the rose red. You then had to clean the stamp and repeat the process this time inking the bottom line only. The stamp-a-ma-jig was needed for this.

To finish off the card a piece if linen twas tied besides the flower.

Worth the effort I think...

Card 2

This card came from Jane Cutting a fellow demonstrator. It was a swap she gave recently at a team meeting and it fitted the bill of stylish and duplicatable.

Again the base is whisper white and then layered with real red, garden green and whisper white. The tulip is made from the two step bird punch and uses real red and garden green.

The sentiment is stamped in basic black and comes from the stamp set trendy trees.

Simple but very effective...

Thursday's Class

I have been busy today getting ready for my card class tonight. Pictures will follow next week now I have a camera!!

My ladies will be making a manly card and a 3d Card. This months technique will be stamping with markers.
